Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Efendioğlu

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Efendioğlu graduated from Atatürk University Faculty of Medicine. In 2003, he started his career as an assistant physician at Istanbul Göztepe Training and Research Hospital and continued as a Neurosurgery Specialist in 2009. In the same year, he completed his Hospital and Health Institutions Management education at Beykent University and fulfilled his compulsory service at Amasya Merzifon Kara Mustafa Pasha State Hospital.

In 2010, he worked at Istanbul Fatih Sultan Mehmet Training and Research Hospital. In 2011, he increased his knowledge and skills by attending the ‘microneurosurgery’ course at Yeditepe University under the auspices of Prof. Dr. M. Gazi Yaşargil and Prof. Dr. Uğur Türe. He then worked at Istanbul Medeniyet University Göztepe Training and Research Hospital and Istanbul Kartal Dr. Lütfi Kırdar Training and Research Hospital.

In 2014, Dr. Efendioğlu attended the ‘maxMorespine Introduction Workshop, Surgical Technique’ course in Bonn, Germany and expanded his experience in spinal surgery. In the same year, he attended the TND Surgical Neuroanatomy Combined Cadaver Course at Marmara University and deepened his expertise in skull base surgery.

In 2017, he started working at Health Sciences University Istanbul Haydarpaşa Numune Training and Research Hospital. In 2020, he received the title of Associate Professor of Neurosurgery and was appointed to the staff of Health Sciences University. He is currently serving as deputy editor of Haydarpaşa Numune Medical Journal. He has also worked as chief physician and deputy chief physician in various health institutions and volunteered in humanitarian aid organizations.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Efendioğlu has published 14 scientific articles in international refereed journals, 16 scientific articles in national refereed journals and presented nearly 100 papers in domestic and international scientific meetings. He is a member of scientific organizations such as the Turkish Neurosurgical Association and the Turkish Cranial Association.

As of January 2024, he has been serving in his private practice in Bağdat Caddesi, Kadıköy and continues his national and international academic studies and clinical practice. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Efendioğlu is married to Dr. Şenel Efendioğlu, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Diseases, and has two sons.
